Cloud seeding, a weather modification technique, is being increasingly adopted worldwide to address water scarcity.
In Utah, the Great Salt Lake has shrunk by nearly half since 2012, exposing residents to toxic dust and heavy metals.
To combat this, the state has contracted Rainmaker, a cloud-seeding company, to use drones dispersing silver iodide powder to encourage precipitation.
